Tucson New Horizons Band & Strings

Please join us Sunday, May 15, at 3:30pm for our Spring Concert in Crowder Hall on the UA campus! We will be joined by our woodwind quintet and flute choir to get the concert started.

Hey Jude – A Virtual Performance by the Tucson New Horizons Band

Tucson New Horizons Band & Strings
As the corona virus threat became a concern for Arizona and for our members, we had to cut short our Spring 2020 season. While we had started rehearsing new pieces, the need to cease left the music in limbo.

Well, all except for one song, Michael Sweeney’s arrangement of Hey Jude.

Some of our members wanted a way to stay musically active. Where there is a will, there is a way! Members were invited to join in a “virtual” performance by contributing a recording of their instrument part that was joined with those of other members of the band for the final performance below.

 

Great job folks!  Hopefully we will soon be able to create music together in person!
